Farming after Brexit2 February 2017
The Common Agricultural Policy swallows the lion's share of EU spending. With Brexit it is unlikely, to say the least, that current levels and type of subsidy will continue for farmers: a new hospital or direct payments for owning land - there isn't going too much of a debate. This article looks at the principles involved in supporting farmers and the author's conclusions seem logical and likely. That things will be very different is without doubt.
