Our client, a racehorse trainer, was looking to acquire a racing yard in Newmarket with a budget of up to £2 million. The brief required a minimum of 90 stables, together with the supporting facilities needed to operate an efficient professional training yard.

We secured a well-laid-out racing yard with direct access onto the Newmarket gallops. The property provided the scale and facilities required by our client, including veterinary and rehabilitation space, extensive storage and three horse walkers.

While there was no residential accommodation within the property, it included office space suitable for receiving owners and other guests, with the potential for some of this space to be returned to residential use if required. The freehold remained in the ownership of the Jockey Club. From our initial introduction and appointment through to completion, the acquisition was concluded in just three months.
