Our client, who works in biological sciences, was looking for a family home in Buckinghamshire with a budget of £5 million. The brief centred on finding a property close to the river, within easy reach of their chosen school and with the space and amenities required for family life.

Direct access to the river was particularly important, alongside generous living space and separate accommodation for guests or staff.

Result

We secured a six-bedroom family home with direct river access, a private mooring and jetty. Five of the bedrooms were en-suite, while a separate annexe provided flexible accommodation for guests or staff.

The house also offered open-plan kitchen and living space opening onto the garden and pool, while its proximity to the local town and the client’s chosen school made it particularly well suited to the brief.

Having first viewed the property 15 months earlier, we continued to track it and ultimately agreed a purchase price 30% below its original guide price. From our initial appointment through to completion, the search took 21 months.
